Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy help people of all ages participate in their desired occupations. An occupation is a task that people want/need to do and, often times, occupations are activities of daily living. For children, this may include playing, participating in family outings, and going to school. For teens and young adults, occupations may include self care tasks, community ambulation, and more. Our occupational therapists prioritize "whole person" care, keeping the client's interests and goals at the forefront of each session. Occupational therapy addresses many goals such as:

Speech Therapy
Speech and language pathologists assess and treat speech, communication, and swallowing disorders. They help patients develop skills for voice, fluency, sound production, and clarity. They also work on cognitive tasks with their patients when appropriate. Speech therapy at Making Strides can help your child or loved one reach goals related to:​

Adaptive Riding Lessons
Adaptive/therapeutic riding lessons are recreational horseback riding lessons centered around the therapeutic partnership of horse and rider. These lessons are facilitated by skilled and certified therapeutic riding instructors. Each lesson is tailored to meet the needs of each client as an individual. Each rider learns horsemanship skills which may include mounted or unmounted sessions.
