The Making Strides Foundation has grown so much since opening in 2021! In 2022, in addition to occupational therapy and speech therapy, we also added physical therapy and adaptive horseback riding lessons to the list of services that we offer. During our first year of operation, we completed 158 therapy sessions. This year, we have provided over 680 therapy/adaptive riding sessions--and we are just getting started! Since increasing the amount of sessions, we've also added 5 new horses to our herd of therapy assistants! We are so thankful for everyone who has spread the word about our programs and volunteered at Making Strides. We are thankful for our current clients, therapists, and staff who bring life to the farm each week. We are so excited for what's in store for 2023. Our goals include adding more availability for speech therapy services, expanding community outreach, and fundraising to build an ADA accessible therapy gym and restroom at the farm.
