Stride Forward: A Pathway to Growth

thermometer_edited.jpg

Over the last three years, the Making Strides Foundation has experienced exponential growth. Each week, we complete a full schedule of adaptive riding lessons and/or therapy sessions, offer over 30 group programs/camps year round, facilitate work readiness programming for local high school programs at no cost, and partake in dozens of community outreach events each year.

Growth brings not only exciting opportunities but also unique  challenges. As we expand, we encounter new obstacles that push us to innovate, adapt, and strengthen our foundation. Currently, we have an extensive waitlist of clients eager to start their adaptive horseback riding journey or hippotherapy experience. Our goal is to move all of these individuals off of our waitlist. In order to continue to provide high quality, individualized equine assisted services, it is imperative that we cover/enclose our current outdoor riding arena. Enclosing this arena will allow us to double our year-round programming efforts.

Capital Project Upgrades Include:

  1. Covering Current Outdoor Arena

  2. Connecting Current Barn to New Enclosed Outdoor Arena

  3. Paving New and Existing Aisle way for improved accessibility

  4. Excavating an Outdoor Sensory Trail in lieu of an outdoor arena
